Oh, Hello....

Well, it's been almost 4 MOMTHS since my last post, and the reason why I'm posting today???

'The Drew Carey Show'

For the past couple of years, I usually get home around 3pmEST, turn to TBS and watch DCS. Most times, I'll take a quick nap during that hour watching only the beginning of the first ep and the last few minutes of the last one.

Since school began, and my many meetings with my various comedy Troupes, I haven't had the chance to get back to my schedule. Today, I had the chance to leave at a decent time, so I raced home to catch the 3:30 ep.

Well, I guess TBS changed their schedule, cuz when the TV finally faded in, I was treated to the poor excuse of a show 'Yes Dear'!!! So I took my nap to the sounds of ST:TNG on Spike *sigh*

I was planning to post a similar rant when City TV moved 'Friends' to 7pm, but the W network added 'Friends' to their schedule, I can now watch it from 6pm to 7:30pm with NO repeats!!!

See you guys in TWO WEEKS!!!

I know I haven't written in a while, but I've been quite busy getting ready for my FIRST Sketch Comedy Show.

The Show is this Sunday, May 28th and it stars an All-Asian cast. According to the entertainment editor of NOW magazine, this is the first of it's kind in Toronto.

Not only that, we have totally SOLD OUT the Bad Dog Theatre, and have 30+ people on the waiting list.

Here's the link to our BLOG to see the rest of the cast. As you can see, not only am I acting in the Show, but I'm also a co-producer.

A Day of LJ Entries - Pt III

I just finished watching the last three Eps of "Arrested Development"

HILARIOUS!!!!! The innuendo between Jason and Justine Bateman; the multiple borderline incest stories (yes-STORIES); mocking Hollywood "realism"; the way they joined all the previous storylines; and the Guest Stars (Henry Winkler, Justine Bateman, Ron Howard, etc...) made this an amazing show.

It's a shame that it's now off the air. Hopefully it'll follow the "Family Guy" precedent by returning after high DVD sales and Fan demand.

If haven't seen it yet, I recommend watching Seasons 1 and 2 on DVD.

A Day of LJ Entries - Pt II

Just came back from getting Trace some McD's Brekkie. As she was eating I shovelled the Store's walkway. I didn't really mind. I've only shoveled my driveway twice this winter in Toronto.

When I left Toronto Friday afternoon, it was a nipple hardening -15C but the sky was blue, the roads were dry and we there was NO snow on the ground. The Midland morning welcomed us with a 6cm snowfall, 1mt high snow banks, and roads that Team Canada would have no problem skating on.

I was at Walmart beforehand doing a bit of shopping. Of course at 9am, the only other shoppers there were the Golden Oldies buying their Metamucil and looking for any '2 for 1' offers. My parents are usually up by 5am, out the door by 9am just in time for the Malls to open for their "Walk", and back home by noon dead-bolting the door behind them.

I've always been an early riser, so going shopping before most of the world is even awake is nothing new for me. There's better parking, it's not so crowded, and no screaming kids ruining the Muzac version "My Name Is".

When the Nintendo DS first came out two years ago, Walmart had a great first day opening price. The Walmart nearest to me opend at 8am, so I got there at 7:45am. There were already about 20 people waiting for the doors to open. I figured that I'm faster than most of them, and if could give a little "nudge" to pass the others.

The doors finally opened and I raced to the Electronic section with no hassle. When I got there, there were only 2 people ahead of me and no one behind me. Where was everyone else, you ask? Most of them were just casually shopping.

WHY would you want to wait for a store to open, just to shop?!??! Some of them might have just gotten off work, and this is their only time to shop. But the others......???

music: Watching "My Name is Earl"

Well, since I supposedly only write in this when Tracy's at work, and that she threatened to make sure I am writing stuff today, I decided to record the next 8 hours until she gets back.

After driving Trace to work, I made some Breakfast and watched last Thursday's episodes of "My Name is Earl".

Due to my busy weekday evening schedule, I usually record my fav shows (Earl, The Office, House, etc..) and watch them on the weekends. However, I often go to bed past midnight watching "Lost" or "Survivor" just so I can talk about them at work the next day.

Speaking of TV shows, last month's "Scrubs" episode titled "My Way Home" was just amazing. It was their 100th ep and loosley based on "The Wizard of Oz".
Even tho the main story line about Turk needing a Heart, Carla needing Courage, and Elliot needing Brains, it was the way they interjected Ozisms in the show which brought everything together.

So This is How This Thing Works

Hey All,

It's only been about six months since I registered with LJ, so I thought it's about time I actually wrote in it.

And "Why" you ask, have I chosen this day and time to start? Time to kill.

Trace had to cover a shift at her 'Macs' tonight, and since there's not too much to do in Midland, I took advantage of the time.

Here's a brief overview of Me since OGW 2005:
- From The Bad Dog Theatre www.baddogtheatre.com
> I'm still performing regularly with my various troupes (Bitchfest & Schnyder's Beef Dip) and anyone else who wants to bask in my glory
> I'm one of the organizers of an 'All Asian' variety show happening in May

- My son Dylan and myself spent Christmas and New Year's in the Phillipines (pics and stories to follow)

- Oh yeah, Trace and I have been going out since October
